Jane
A beautiful black and tan female, Jane has the markings and personality of her mother. This one looks "all girl" with her wavy hair and sweet eyes, but she can pin any of her siblings in a wrestling match (yes, even the bigger ones)!
Her herding instincts have kicked in and she knows how to go for those back legs. Once she has them on their backs, she knows how to keep them pinned until the game is over.
Jane has a very sweet personality, loving to play and be loved. She is also very curious and active with a lot of spunk. Jane was placed with a family in McKinney, TX.
One of two dogs that we placed as pets, she was a Christmas gift from a husband to his wife, and is (no doubt) receiving lots of love and attention. Her new name is Margaret Thatcher (Maggie).
Her owner, Jim, writes:
- Maggie (Margaret Thatcher) is our 2 year old English Shepherd female.
She is a high energy dog. She weighs 47 pounds and has little to no body fat. She gets about 4 miles of exercise each day except in the heat of summer. Then she gets only a 2 mile run with me in the morning. Easily trainable she can sit, lie down, roll over, shake and high five, and turn right or left while walking.
We play fetch at the ball fields when the weather permits and she is fairly reliable in bringing it back and dropping it on the command "Leave it". I always walk her on a leash. It’s not worth the risk for her to go off after a rabbit.
