New Litter Has Been Placed!

We are very happy to announce that all of our puppies have new homes!  Though, we will certainly miss them and their delightful  assortment of personalities, we are confident that they will flourish with their new families.  As we try to be very careful in the placement of each puppy, let me take a moment to say how very pleased we are with the situations that each of our puppies will be entering.  We wish the owners and their new companions a very bright and blessed future together.

(Check back often for updates on future litters)

Heathcliff   (Wuthering Heights)  ~ADOPTED!~  (New name : "Angus" )

Picture
The only male in the bunch, this guy is a handsome tri-color with white on his chest, back paws, his chin and a little over his eyes .  Heathcliff  is much calmer than his sisters, very low maintenance with a very laid back personality.  He interacts much differently with his puppy pack than he does with his people, being much gentler with his people.  Heathcliff also seems to exhibit that wonderful "on - off " switch  that is very typical of the English Shepherd, enjoying playtime, but also being  content to lay at our feet and just be near us.   No doubt, he will make someone the perfect companion for whatever the task at hand.

Angus now lives in Oklahoma where he has adjusted to his surroundings wonderfully.  He is companion to his new owners and two cats, guardian of his yard and future cattle herder.

Esther (Bleak House) ~ADOPTED!~  (New name :"Shaw's Jean Louise  (Scout)")

Picture
Esther is one of our two tri-color females with white stockings on her front paws and white on her chest.  She is full of spunk and energy and is very interested in our cat, Smokey.

Our son is the proud new owner of this bright little girl.  As Scout shows great potential in agility, he intends to work with her that area, and, eventually, to begin breeding her.

Eowyn (The Lord of the Rings) ~ ADOPTED! ~ (New Name: Queen Katharine  "Kate") A sweet tempered black and tan female, Eowyn (known to us as Wynnie)  has a very little white on the tips of her back paws which isn't very noticeable, making her almost purely black and tan.

Picture
Loving, gentle and sensible best describes this beautiful, fluffy girl.  If not in a game of tug of war or a wrestling match with one of her sisters, we can find Wynnie relaxing in the grass or on a patio chair observantly taking in her surroundings.
Always ready to give and receive affection, she will bound her way to the vicinity of whomever is outside and, after the right amount of attention, enjoys laying  in our laps or by our side.
Eager to please and very intelligent, Wynnie should make someone a wonderful English Shepherd companion.

Wynnie is bound for Oklahoma where her talents and personality will be put to good use.   Whether relaxing at home or helping with the cattle in the pasture, her time will be well spent being a companion to her new owner.

Anne (Anne of Green Gables) ~Adopted!~ (New Name: Opal)

Picture
This pretty little girl is the other of our black and tan females, but with a little  patch of white on her chest and shadowing the tips of her paws (making her a black and tan with white).  Anne is very observant, often watching the others before finding her place in the action and still retains her position as the sweetheart of the bunch.

Headed to west Texas, Anne will find herself working a 12,000 acre ranch by day and being a playmate and companion to her family by night.  A great opportunity for this little lady to shine.

Jane (Jane Eyre)  ~ADOPTED!~ (New name: "Shaw's Liberty Belle (Libbie)")

Picture
The other of the tri-color females, Jane is the smallest but the most active.  She has a very spirited personality and loves to play, especially with our Lab, Max.   With white stockings and a white chest, this little girl is a beauty.

Libbie was chosen early on to remain with us and be a part of our family.  She has a lot of energy and an eagerness to please mixed with much intelligence.  We plan to eventually breed her and pass on her wonderful ES traits.

Puppy Clan

Never a dull moment with this bunch!   Affectionate, intelligent, eager to please and quick to learn, English Shepherds are a joy to work and grow with.  Though, ready to be as active and energetic as their environment calls for, these pups are also sensitive to the need to be settled.  If we are playful and rowdy, they quickly take to jumping, running, barking and nipping.  However, if we are calm and gentle, they become more docile and easy to work with; nipping turns to licking with the proper instruction.
Bella is doing wonderfully working with her puppies, whether it's enticing them to chase her around the yard (with a toy in her mouth), teaching them to carry sticks, chase balls, or guard the back fence, she stays diligent in her tasks as a  mother.
